There's a new crooner in town!

Country star Brad Paisley, 36, and According to Jim actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley, 37, have welcomed a son, her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.

According to a statement, "Mother and baby are resting comfortably."

Born in Nashville Friday morning, he's the second child for the couple, who are also parents to 2-year-old son William...

Wikipedia had run articles saying the current season of ATJ was the last, and Billy Joe Çampbell even said ABC destroyed the set after the last episode was filmed. Now there are rumors that ABC is talking to Jim Belushi about a 9th season. Better still, a rumored spinoff with Ryan, Dana and family in California. I'm not positive about this, but I think the author is the friend who clued Kim in on the open casting for Father of the Bride. If that isn't true, it ought to be.

You're interested in Kim, who played a lawyer arguing in the Supreme Court in tonight's "Boston Legal." Her 15 minutes or so were fine, and of course she looked great in modest black Court-appropriate clothes.

Now to the Court. I know a bit about it, once even sitting at counsel table as "second chair" -- that means that the other guy did the talking. Most of Kim's argument was authentic, especially the Justices...

Kim said she shot only a few episodes for According to Jim's new season, because her top priority is being a mother. According to the article that follows, the opening show (back to back half hours) Tuesday may not be among them. An article about Jim Rouse (not reproduced) says he will reprise his role as Dana's husband on the finale this Spring.

This week one of the free downloads on iTunes is "John, the Word of Promis Next Generation" which is from a recording of the bible. In the credits, KWP is listed as Mary, Mother of Jesus. I haven't listened to it yet, to hear of Kim speaks in the book of John.

Not long ago, Kim was quoted as saying she would probably appear in one episode of the current (last) season of According to Jim. Yesterday I found an interview -- couldn't locate an exact date, but it seems be recent, from its content -- in which she says there will be ten appearances. There's a lot more detail about how she goes about being mom, wife and at least part time actress/writer.

We know that Kim shot a "Boston Legal" episode recently.
The Washington Post synopsis of the season opener tonight is: Alan can be slick in the courtroom, but not when his former flame is the opposing counsel....
These two facts don't necessarily go together, but I'm going to be watching to see if they do.

We know about Kim's early modeling and commercials, and seen a print ad for OB. Leave it to YouTube to come up with a 29-second OB video. Fuzzy quality, and not a very compelling plot, but it qalifies as a find, IMO.
